Sustainable Business Practices: Packaging
If you missed our last post on the sustainable business changes we’re making, you can check it out here!
As part of our 2023 initiative, we are working to ensure a complete system of sustainable business practices. We aim to create beautiful, culturally-inspired, eco-friendly dinnerware products, working harmoniously with the planet.
Adjusting the materials that go into making a product is vital to the sustainable business practices model. However, the puzzle is only completed once every step in the production process is considered...and that brings us to packaging.
Here's how we're changing our packaging to be eco-friendly...
In 2023, we’re making our packaging eco-friendly by shifting to 100% recycled cardboard boxes, switching to paper-based tape, and eliminating polyfoams or plastics. We couldn't be more excited to take this step toward sustainability and share it with all of you!
By using recycled materials from the start of our packaging process, we're helping to reduce waste by extending the life of existing materials. And by switching to paper-based tape and limiting the use of other plastic-based materials, we're saying goodbye to a material that takes ages to decompose.
While we move forward with confidence knowing this change will benefit the planet we inhabit, we also hope that our customers will find a sense of empowerment in their purchasing decisions by supporting sustainable business practices
...but does it really matter?
Now, we know what you might be thinking - "Sure, using recycled materials is great and all, but does it really make a difference?" The answer is a resounding YES! Using recycled materials reduces the amount of waste that goes into landfills, saves energy and resources, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
So what does this mean for the world as a whole? Well, we can’t say that we will single-handedly save the planet. But every little bit counts, and when we all make small changes like this, we can create a significant impact. And if more companies follow in our footsteps, we can create a real movement toward sustainable packaging. That’s where the power truly lies: voting with your purchases to show significant pollution producers that you care about the future of this planet, and it’s time that they do too.
In conclusion, we're thrilled to be making the switch to sustainable packaging. It's good for the planet, good for our customers, and can help to create a real movement towards sustainability. So, let's all raise a glass (or, perhaps, a ceramic mug) to celebrate this change!
